Instructions for use: Adults max. 30 g per day, children max. 15 g per day or 0.3 g per 1 kg body weight. Large single doses have laxative effects or increase susceptibility to cramps. The daily dose should be divided into several smaller portions. At the beginning of the intake it is necessary to initially use very small doses and only then gradually increase them. 1 teaspoon is equivalent to 0.8 g, and 1 tablespoon is equivalent to 8 g. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Diabetics should exercise increased caution. A dose above 45 g/day may increase blood triacylglycerols in those with low energy expenditure. If one has no dietary restrictions, we also recommend supplementing one's diet with vegetable oil with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids (preferably rapeseed oil) and taking vitamins A, D, and E.
Store in a dry place out of the reach of children and sunlight and at temperatures up to 25°C.
General information: MCT oil is produced using fractional distillation and the deodorisation of selected vegetable fats (especially coconut and palm kernel oil), which yield a proportion of the desired properties. Generally, MCT oil is used chiefly in nutrition for increased body weight, and in clinical nutrition for metabolic disorders. MCT oil is resistant to oxidation and has good taste properties. The product is used similarly to vegetable oil in the preparation of meals, vegetable salads, and for mixing in suitable beverages, e.g. skimmed milk. It can also be used in cooking.
